The month-end close, closed by day two.
A close that takes three weeks is not an accounting problem; it is a decision problem. By the time the numbers land, the month they describe is over. Solvebooks runs the close as a system: the reconciliations and entries are done on a fixed calendar as inputs arrive, the month is closed two working days after the last input lands, and CPA review and sign-off wrap it up within five business days.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
HOW IT RUNS
The work is done inside your systems; a CPA Ontario-registered accountant reviews every output and is accountable for it. You keep final sign-off. How the firm works.
WHO IT IS FOR
Finance leaders who are closing late because the work is manual, whose auditors keep finding the same issues, or who inherited books that have never truly been closed. Companies on Xero or QuickBooks Online in the United States or Canada, whatever their size.
QUESTIONS
How can a close be done in two days?
Because most of the time in a slow close is waiting and re-keying, not accounting judgement. We reconcile and post as inputs arrive instead of in a batch at month-end, so by the time the last input lands the work is mostly done. Day two is the close; CPA review, your questions and sign-off follow, and the month is fully wrapped up within five business days.
What if our books are a mess today?
Most are. We start with a clean-up close: legacy balances remediated, accounts reconciled from a known starting point, and a written list of judgement calls for you to confirm. Then the monthly cadence begins.
Do we need to change software for this?
No. The close runs inside Xero or QuickBooks Online, with your bank feeds and spend platform connected as they are.
