Sales tax and corporate tax, filed on time.
Tax is where a small finance team loses the most sleep for the least value: filing calendars across two countries, sales tax registrations that lag the business, and a corporate return that depends on books nobody fully trusts. Solvebooks treats tax as a by-product of a clean close: the filings are prepared from reconciled books, on a calendar, with a CPA signing off.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
HOW IT RUNS
The work is done inside your systems; a CPA Ontario-registered accountant reviews every output and is accountable for it. You keep final sign-off. How the firm works.
WHO IT IS FOR
US companies with a Canadian entity, Canadian companies selling into the United States, and any group whose filings are currently done by a different firm than the one keeping the books.
QUESTIONS
Do you file in every US state?
We monitor nexus and register and file where you have an obligation. The states you owe depend on where your customers are and what you sell; we work that out with you first.
Can you take tax only, without the bookkeeping?
Usually not. The filings are only as good as the books under them, and the economics of our model come from running both. If you already have a strong close, talk to us; some scopes work.
Do you give tax advice on structuring?
We give practical input on structuring and transfer pricing for the groups we keep books for, and coordinate with specialist advisors where a formal opinion is needed.
